อเมริกันแชมเปี้ยนคาลีค (คาลีด) เป็นหมาคอลลี่ขนยาว=rough collie (หยาบ) ที่เขาเรียกว่าสีบลูเมลอร์ Blue Merle with tan marking ประกอบด้วยสีขาว เทา  tan และดำ คาลีคมีสายเลือด Overland คอกโอเว่อแลนด์ 56% อีก 44% สายเลือดนอก (outcross) โดยการเอา Jared ไปผสมกับหมาเชื้อสายอื่นคือสายเลือด Fantacy & Highcroft เพื่อให้ได้ยีนใหม่เข้ามาgene pool ส่วนพ่อของคาลีค คือ Am.CH Overland Cloud Cover เป็นลูกของ AM.CH. Ice Storm
 
คาลีคมีผลประกวดที่โดยเด่นตั้งแต่เด็ก โดยชนะ 3 Major Wins (งานใหญ่) ตั้งแต่ตอนอายุ 6 เดือนและได้ตำแหน่งอเมริกันแชมเปี้ยนตั้งแต่อายุยังน้อยเพียง 11 เดือน โดยมีผลประกวดชนะงานใหญ่ทั้งหมด 4 major wins (Best of Winners) ในการเข้าประกวดงานที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในอเมริกาคืองาน National ของ Collie Club of America ผลการประกวดที่เด่นที่สุดคือ ประกวดได้ที่ 1 ในรุ่น 9-12 เดือน AOAC ปี 2009 และได้ที่ 4 ใน Group ซึ่งเป็นงาน CCA เป็นงานประกวดของ     คอลลี่ที่ยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุดของอเมริกา(ในปี 2009 มีคอลลี่เข้าประกวดมากถึงกว่า 800 ตัว) จัดโดย Collie Club of America นอกจากจะมีผลการประกวดเป็นที่พอใจในอเมริกาแล้ว ยังมีผลการประกวดในไทยที่เยี่ยมอีกด้วย จบไทยแชมป์จากการลงประกวดเพียง 3 งาน เท่านั้นก็ได้ครบ 6CC แล้ว
 
คาลีคมาถึงเมืองไทยในเดือนเมษายน 2011 อายุครบ 2 ปีและก็ได้ผลัดขนทั้งตัวพอดี  ถึงแม้คาลีคจะมีขนาดตัวข้อนค่างใหญ่เกิน=over sizeสำหรับขนาด FCI สูง25 นิ้ว  อย่างไรก็ดีเราจะนำคาลีค ลงเก็บคะแนนในปีนี้อยู่ดีถึงแม้จะพลาดการประกวดไป 5 เดือน +กับช่วงพัก4เดือนที่รอขนขึ้น มาลองรอดูว่าเมื่อขนใหม่ขึ้น  คาลีคจะตามเก็บคะแนนทันตัวอื่นในกลุ่มไหมและจะได้กี่คะแนน  ข้อเด่นของคาลีดคือ หัวสวย วิ่งสวย โดยช่องขาหลังนั้นมีองศาสวย มีแรงเตะดีดตัวแรง และสวยกว่าทาเรนอย่างมากเราจึงหวังว่าคาลีคจะกวาด Best In Group มาได้ไม่น้อย โดยเฉพาะในปีหน้า 2012 เมื่อเราจะนำคาลีคลงประกวดทั้งปีจะเก็บคะแนนดูว่าจะติดอันดับ Top 5 จากสมาพัฒนาสายพันธุ์สุนัขแห่งประเทศไทยหรือไม่ เพราะคลอเดียลงประกวดครึ่งปียังติด Top 12    เนื่องจากการประกวดสุนัขเป็น expensive business เราจึงไม่ทำกับทุกๆตัว ทำสนุกๆดูเพื่อดูว่าหมามันดีขนาดไหน เพราะค่าจ้าง handler นั้น แพงสุดๆ แถมยังมีค่าสมัครประกวดและค่าเดินทางอีก

ที่ Dynasty เรานำน้องหมาลงประกวดเป็นรายตัวให้จบไทยแลนด์แชมป์เปี้ยนทีละตัวแต่หากตัวไหนไม่ทิ้งขนหรือไม่อยู่ในช่วงให้นมลูกเราก็จะเน้นเอาตัวนั้นลงประกวดบ่อยๆ ในปีนั้นๆ เพื่อเก็บคะแนนสะสมเอา Best in Group หลายๆ อันเพื่อดูว่าจะติดรายชื่อ Top 20 ของสมาคมพัฒนาสายพันธุ์สุนัขแห่งประเทศไทยหรือไม่ หากตัวไหนได้ (โดยกรรมการไม่ซ้ำคน ครบ 4CACIB = certificate of excellence=คุณภาพชั้นเยี่ยม) ครบ3- 4 CACIBSก็จะได้ตำแหน่งเป็น เอเซียนและอินเตอร์เนชั่นแนลแชมป์เปี้ยนตามลำดับแล้วเราก็หยุดประกวด เช่นในปี 2010 น้องใหม่ Claudia ลงเก็บ Best In Group และ CACIB อยู่ปีหน้าคงเป็นคิวของ Lana การนับคะแนนโดยคล่าวๆ หากชนะ Best of Breed จะได้ 20 คะแนนและหากชนะ Best In Group จะได้ 80 คะแนน+จำนวนหมาทั้งหมดในงานที่ลงประกวด -1 หากได้ Reserve BIG ได้จะได้ 60 คะแนน
 
ถึงแม้ว่าคาลีคตัวจะใหญ่ไปนิดแต่กรรมการเขาก็ชอบคาลีคพอที่จะให้ Best of Breed and Best in Groups ในการลงประกวดครั้งแรกในเมืองไทย ติดตามผลประกวดได้ในwin page ของเรา

Multple Best in groups winner Khaliq (american colie, Blue merle with tan marking) arrived in April 2011 when he just turned 2 years old and starting to loose his coat so we will wait for a while for him to coats up and introduce him to the show ring in Thailand(most likely he will be ready for the International Dog show at Impact Muang tongtani). Results of his accomplishments will be up in our win page, we are ancious to see how he performs. Last weeked in May 2011while he still has some coat on, Khaliq attended 4 shows and came home with 4 Best of Breeds, 3 Best in Group throphies and one Reserve Best in Group beating the most often met opponents such as german shepherd, welsh corgie pembroke, shetland sheepdog/shelties/mini collie and we look forward to meeting some other members in the group such as Australian shepherd,Malinois, old English sheepdog and border collie.Khaliq soon finished Thailand Champion 0n 14 May 2011.

Being a Grand son and relative of top winning collies in America, his pedigree includes; Overland Gathering Storm,ROM, Overland Red Hot Summer,ROM,Highcroft Ultimate suspense,ROM,Highcroft nightline, Fantacy's Fortune hunter,ROM, Lakewind Shot in the Dark,ROM and Carelot's Portrait in Calico.He caused quite a stir in the showring here in Thailand as the groomers and handlers liked him and many came over to give us a hand.

Khaliq did not dissapoint us and we look forward to the next month International Dog show at Impact Muang Thong Thani when his coat begins to grow back a bit more, many thanks to our handler Mrs. Nang who tangoed well with him, we will keep the updated show results on our wins page.As for breeding we do not have plans  for him yet but may be another 2 years when we find a nice tri colour partner for him.

 As for the show result at the International dog show in July 2011 Khaliq managed to pick up his first certificate of excellence from a Croatian judge. So next event for him will be in October, keep fingers crossed and hope that he will coat up just in time. While he still had his coat on in June 2011 Khaliq managed to beat the dog that has won BIS for at least 3 times. As he coats up in November we expect him to proof himself once more of how nice he looks and see you at Rose Garden 2011 International Dog Show.

นอกจากนี้อเมริกันแชมป์คลอเดียและคาลีคก็ยังชนะหมาเวชคอร์กี้ที่เคยชนะ Best In Show มาแล้วไม่ต่ำกว่าตัวละ 6 และ3 หน ท่านอาจสงสัยว่าทำไมหมาจากไดนาสตี้ไม่มีรางวัล Best In Show ตามที่เราได้เคยเรียนว่าการจ้างคนจูงนั้นมีราคาสูง โดยเฉพาะรอบ (BIS) และเปอร์เซ็นต์ที่หมาตัวที่ชนะ Best In Group แต่ละตัวที่จะได้ (BIS) นั้นก็ประมาณ 15% ในแต่ละรอบเราจึงไม่นำหมาเราลงในรอบ BIS ท่านสามารถตามผลประกวดของ     คาลีดได้2011 เมื่อขนขึ้นใหม่พอที่จะลงสนามประกวดได้
